Mooorning everyone, let’s start our journey
Is there a better way to start a new day than having a good breakfast? The answer is obviously nope and that’s a good thing because I have a freaking delicious breakfast spot to share with you: “Breakfast club”. This place offers you a great variety of food for your breakfast such as pancakes, pies, eggs, sandwiches and even cereals. On top of that you can choose hot drinks, cold drinks or fresh fruits juices. Everything is really goood.
On the picture below, I had honeycomb (it was amazing) and fresh fruits pancakes with granola cereals and a fresh orange juice. The pancakes were so fluffy and yummy:

You just woke up and you’re feeling like having a brunch instead of a classic breakfast, I GOT YOU! Let me introduce you this great brunch place: “Greenwoods”. Located just in front of an Amsterdam canal, the perfect spot to please your belly and enjoy the city atmosphere. If it’s sunny, there are some tables outside to enjoy the view. In here, you can eat different types of eggs dishes, burgers, great sandwiches, bowls, cake and different hot or cold drinks. Believe me, it’s sooo tasty and you can either have a brunch like I said or a decent lunch too.
On the picture below, I had Eggs Florentine with smoked salmon, spinach, muffins topped with hollandaise sauce and a big fresh orange juice. Oh boy, this eggs were cooked to perfection.

You’re a 15 people group, a couple that can’t solve the “where should we eat question” or a single foodie that want to have a tremendous variety of food choices at the same place for lunch or dinner?
Not a problem, I have the perfect and delicious solution for you all. Yep, it’s called “FoodHallen” aka Food Hall aka the foodies’ heaven. The variety of food choices is tremendous and everything looks so great. In this place, you will find an indoor area (like a covered market hall) with many different restaurants and seats/tables in the center. The point is that everyone in a group can choose a different restaurant and seat together at the same table. I really really liked it, you can either go for lunch or dinner, the atmosphere is always nice. You can find here: dim sum / bao stands, burgers, italian cuisine, tapas, sushi, mexican tacos, grilled kebab, lebanese cuisine, of course local food such as krokets etc.
My preferred choice, by the way, was this mouth-watering juicy burger at The Butcher burger stand (picture below). It was delicious, gourmet and the steak was flamed grilled. I can’t wait to go back to this place to try new things.

Let me guess, you are still a little hungry? Then, let’s eat some snacks.
Amsterdam (Netherlands in general) is well known for its dutch snacks. People are eating snacks all day long in various snack stands. A lot of them are famous to be quite fatty but common… the more fatty it is, the better it tastes, isn’t it? To me, speaking about snacks I need to talk to you about to main things that you would find in Amsterdam’s streets.
“FEBO”. You need to remember this name because this is the ultimate spot for snack in Amsterdam and through all Netherlands. Actually, you will find “Febo” shops around almost each street corner in the city. When you enter this shop, you will find automats that are selling you hot foods… Yes, for real (picture below).
Your only job is to put coins in it and then, you can open a little locker to grab your hot dutch krokets (veal, duck, beef), burgers, meatballs, sandwich etc. I tried two different kind of krokets and it was the perfect snack: warm, crispy and fluffy ragout in the inside (picture below). Yes I know, it doesn’t look the best but believe me it tastes really good. I got an other good news for you: this snack paradise is open very late.

Wait, this snack episode is not finished yet. One other famous and delicious thing you will find in Amsterdam are French Fries. Yep, Dutch people make great french fries maybe due to the close geographic location with Belgium… Yep, No, I don’t know. The most famous spot of the city for fries is “Vlaams Friteshuis Vleminckx” but god there is always a hell of a line so I never been there yet. No worries, others spot make great french fries around the city. I tried one of them called “De Belg” and it was awesome (picture below). I took one bag of crispy fries with mayonaise sauce. My advice to you if you want to have 100% dutch fries is to ask for the “joppie” sauce which is an amazing dutch creation.

This dutch delicacy consists in is a waffle made from two thin layers of baked dough with a caramel syrup filling in the middle and believe me is freaking deliciouuus (picture below). One of the oldest and authentic spot to eat one of this little piece of magic.

Even if you told me that your mom or your grandmother is making the best apple pie in the world I won’t trust you. You know why? Because the best apple pie you will eat in your entire life is waiting for you at “Café Winkel 43”. Believe me, it was a pretty amazing experience to eat that perfect apple pie with that delicious whipped cream (picture below).
